Message our blocks are made of, thickness of the deck, walls, etc, I dont believe there to be any significant advantage in using one.... but I've been wrong before and I'm sure someone will be obliged to elaborate on all of the known benefits of using them. :)

If you compare our block side by side to others such as domestic V8's, you'll find our block to weigh just as much but in a significantly smaller "footprint"; all that metal making a much stronger and stable block.
